Book Disappointments
Have you ever come across a book you were so stoked to read, but it failed miserably in your eyes?

There is very little that I liked about this book aside from the writing. The plot wasn’t terribly unique and I had an extremely difficult time relating to any of the characters. For all of the hype, I was very disappointed with this novel. It’s one of the few novels that I’ve truly disliked in recent memory.
I’ve seen several people who were disappointed with Matched. I liked it, but it was very similar to other novels I enjoyed more. I got my sister to read it after The Hunger Games trilogy (which she loved, BTW) and she hasn’t been impressed. In fact, it’s taken her probably 20x as long to read just this one book as it did THG. That says a lot about how good THG was, but it also says something about how good Matched isn’t, I guess. Still, I enjoyed it, so I’ll continue with the rest of the series.
