So my name is Lauren and I like to read…a lot. I have a full-time job (in retail at the moment – yikes!) so I don’t always get the time that I would like to read, but I make it work. I’ve been reading since I was very young – I remember reading The Little House on the Prairie series and then donating it to the library when I graduated from elementary school. What surely and truly got me hooked, like so many, was the Harry Potter series. It came out when I was 11 or 12, the same age that Harry was in the first books, and I just fell in love. I remember getting the books for Christmas that first year because I’d read them at the library and I wanted to keep reading them over and over but I had to turn them back in.
Now, I’m just a 20-something still living in my college town (Chapel Hill represent!) and living my life. I love to read, paint my nails, listen to music (particularly Mumford & Sons) and watch TV. I have a strange obsession with grocery stores even though I hate grocery shopping – I love Trader Joe’s, Lowes, Publix and Wegmans! I’m snarky and passive aggressive when the situation calls for it (but really, when doesn’t the situation call for it?) but overall I think I’m pretty cool. I think I have great taste in books and music, but I know I have bad taste in food and TV. Feel free to talk to me at any of the below links! I love new friends! (and old ones!)
