Witchlanders by Lena Coakley

I have been looking for this book EVERYWHERE. I first got my hands on it through Galley Grab, but it expired before I could finish it. After that, NOTHING. No library, no store, nowhere had it. I finally found it (sadly, through a library closing sale) and jumped right on it. Expect a review on this one REALLY SOON!

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Another book off the wishlist! I was actually glad I didn’t buy this one sooner since they’ve changed the covers…I want my collection to match. I think Tina might be reading this one soon so hopefully we can get her to review it too! ;)

Saving June by Hannah Harrington
I’ve started this one already and I really like it! Schoolwork has slowed me down once again though so I’m hoping to get this one finished ASAP. It’s released after Thanksgiving so look for a review before then.

Don’t You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire
The cover and summary of this book spoke to me so much.  It just looks like a fun read and that’s something I need in my life so much right now!  Again schoolwork has prevented me from diving in yet, but hopefully soon!

Excuse the stupid face. I was overwhelmed by all the books!

Purchased
Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Another great installment in the Caster Chronicles that Tina has already reviewed over here.  I’ve loved what I read so far but I know that there probably won’t be any happy endings going on…

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins
Such a great follow-up to Hex Hall.  I’ve slowly been buying things up from my wishlist and this was next up!  It’s definitely got me excited for the next installment…only a few months now.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
I was able to read this ARC a few months back and was super stoked for it’s final release.  A well-time B&N coupon and this baby was mine!  If you’re looking for a good fantasy novel, this one’s for you.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
I honestly can’t believe I didn’t own this one sooner because I adore it so much.  Again it was on my wishlist and it was time to get my hands on it.  If you haven’t read this then you need to!  And you should follow Kiersten on Twitter too – she’s adorable.

Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick
I love this series even though so many people seem to dislike it.  Anyway, I was pretty surprised with the latest installment as I thought it would be the last one…guess not!

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Anyone who loved Anna and the French Kiss will love this one as well.  I love it more, perhaps.  While I’ve held Perkins to a high standard since Anna, she definitely kept it up with this one.  She and Sarah Dessen are the YA authors to beat.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
All the mysterious marketing for this book led to just as a mysterious story itself.  A beautiful cover that depicts the story in a great way.  A wonderful debut for Hodkin.  The next in the series is eagerly anticipated!

*Both novels have been read and will be reviewed soon!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
A true fantasy novel that does not disappoint! A story that revolves around Karou and the mysterious world she has been unwittingly involved with since she was a baby. And the love that comes with it.

In My Bag (1)

Every week, The Story Siren hosts In My Mailbox. I’ve decided to call mine, In My Bag, because I mostly get books from my work (the library) or my work’s bookstore. More often than not I have five plus books in my purse at a time. There is a reason I carry a big purse, and that reason is books. Soon it will be textbooks (YAY! Grad!School!)

Library Books:

How the States Got Their Shapes by Mark Stein. I was a US history major and have a love affair with the tv show on the history channel.

The Chosen One by Carol Lynch Williams. A YA book that involves polygamy (which I find fascinating), I felt like I had to read this.

The Mental Floss: History of the United States by Erik Sass. Again, US history major.

Sing Me To Sleep by Angela Morrison. My BFF told me to read this because she doesn’t have time. And if it is awesome, then she can. Yes, this happens more often than you think it does.

Pukka: The Pup After Merle by Ted Kerasote. It is a book told by the dog’s pov. ADORABLE.

My Soul to Keep: A Soul Screamers Novel by Rachel Vincent. The first book in the series was awesome. The second book was okay. I’m not sure how quickly I want to start this one, which is the third book in the series.

Books snagged from the freebie cart:

The Aristrocrat by Catherine Coulter. I haven’t read a true romance novel in, well forever. And my friend told me I should read this. So when I saw it on the cart I figured it was a sign.

Another Faust by Daniel and Dina Nayeri. Seems like my type of YA book.

My Life in France by Julia Child. I’ve been wanting to read this forever and since it was on the free cart I thought it was a time to shine.
